Amazing People at Work

Circumstance. That’s how I ended up at my company. I was new to Arizona and not sure what I was going to do next with my career and really enjoying some time where I didn’t have to work. I helped put the house together, cooked dinners and was a regular little Betty Homemaker.
Surfing Monster one night, I saw an ad for a company. They had a catch name and had a posting that seemed to fit my previous experience. A few weeks later, I was gainfully employed and had no idea how fast my professional career was about to change.
Fast-forward three years later and I am so thankful that I work with such a diverse and amazing group of people. To me, someone who grew up in Smalltown USA, to be surrounded by people who don’t think like me, who weren’t raised like me and who don’t often look like me are inspiring.
One of the groups I’ve been working with this year are true professionals and I am always amazed at how they’re given projects and seemingly within hours they have a game plan and have already made the first calls to people. Another thing about this group
is that they’re all women. Amazing women!
Today we went to a team building event that was
so different from every dinner, happy hour, sporting event I’ve ever been to in a co-ed environment. We went in for manicures and pedicures. AWESOME!
Its fun to choose nail polish based on your favorite things! Chocolately Burgandy and Caviar & Vodka! As Sue would say, the whole thing was ‘nummy yummy!’
Keesha oversees recruiting and training programs for GoDaddy.com. She is responsible for building programs that attract and retain amazing employees. She attended Blinn College and Texas A&M University.
Keesha loves food and photography and is passionate about community volunteering. She sits on the board of directors for the Junior League of Phoenix and in her free time you will find her baking and working on her empire Cupcake Cabana. Her most private cupcake confession? She doesn't like frosting!
blah! boring! a hot dog eating contest would have been way better!
No way dude. You eat your hot dogs. I want my little piggies to be pretty in pink. Pass the pedicure kit!
So THAT’s where you work! I’m so glad to have finally found out after reading your blog all this time.
It’s super cool that you work with women…especially in technology.
