Blue Bell Ice Cream Review: Moo-llennium Crunch
Sep 14th, 2008 by prissycook
It is nearly impossible for me to stay up past 10:30pm. I’m not going to blame age, because I’ve never been able to stay up late. I’m just not wired that way. On the flip side, my natural wake up time on the weekends is 7:00am.
My inability to stay up late usually isn’t a problem. It does however prove to be a problem when I want to stay up for Saturday Night Live. I love SNL and when the show is in season, I set a goal every Saturday night to “make it till 11:00pm.”
I have yet to do it: In years! I’ve seen every opening monologue (that starts at 10:29pm) and by 10:35pm, I’m out. No lie, out, out.
So this opening season of SNL, I made a plan.
My plan included a bowl of Blue Bell. Moo-llennium Crunch is a vanilla base creamy ice cream with chocolate, caramel, almonds, walnuts and pecans. What I loved about this one is that the usually very sweet Blue Bell vanilla taste so good with with the contrasting saltier flavors.
I think it may have worked a little. I made it to 11:00pm. Victory! If you didn’t see Tina Fey’s characterature of Sarah Palin, you must click over to see it. While she was funny, the way Amy Poehler played her Hillary Clinton off of her was the best.
Next week’s goal, stay up till the Weekend Update segment. Perhaps some Blue Bell Candy Jar will help?
