Pumpkin-Brown Butter Cupcakes
Oct 18th, 2009 by prissycook
One of the points of this whole Martha Stewart cupcake challenge is to learn new methods, explore other flavor combinations and frankly try to make it all the way through.
This weeks new to me item was learning the word/technique chiffonade (the cut looks like a ribbon).

These cupcakes definitely fall into the savory category.

The brown butter frosting is finakey. I made a small batch for the “house.” I also brought some of these to work and I knew the frosting wouldn’t make the commute, so I made a batch of ginger buttercream for the next day.

Oh and I have an announcement. I’m a camper. You know, like sleep outside in a tent kinda camper. Whoodathunkit?

I have an easy pumpkin cake recipe, but I ought to give this one a try! Yum!
