Slowing down and sharing

My bike is a beach cruiser and as much as I liken myself to Lance Armstrong when I’m on it, I know that I’m moving at a snail’s pace in comparison. The other day I was on a ride with a friend and I mentioned how much I love noticing the small things when I’m on a bike ride. I said it out loud more as an affirmation for me rather than a statement to her.

It was when we were riding home that she pointed out a rainbow captured in a cloud. I wish I was able to caputure the brilliance of the colors. We commented about how facinating it was that a rainbow just right there, no rainbow tails, it was neatly captured right there. The cloud looked just like a bird to me or maybe a fish.
I hope I have many more bike rides where I get a change to observe wonderful moments like this one.
