Indian Institutes of Management are the premiere institutes for management in India. They conduct CAT (Common Admission Test) for selection process. Hundreds of colleges consider CAT score for their admission process. This exam is considered as one of the toughest examinations in India. At present there are totally seven IIM’s and undoubtedly they are among top b-schools of Asia.

The other best MBA colleges in India

(XLRI, Jamshedpur) Xavier Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur – It conducts XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) for its admission process. There are many colleges in various places like Bhubaneswar, Bangalore and Jharkhand. Around 40 colleges take up XAT score and the top ones are LIBA (Loyola Institute of Business Administration), Goa Institute of Management (GIM) and SP JAIN institute of management.

Indian Institutes of Technology also have management programmes in their campuses for first class engineering graduates and one of the added advantage of MBA programmes in IITs is the fee structure. They conduct JMET (Joint Management Entrance Test) which is considered by all IITs.

Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi is one of the top notches. It conducts its own examination for admission and it is conducted in the month of January and the application form will be available from the month of October.

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi also conducts its own examination and its conducted in the month of November and the application form is available from the month of July.

NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies) has two campuses for its management programme. They are in Mumbai and Bangalore. They conduct NMAT for admission process. NMAT score is considered to play a major part for the selection process. At present NMAT has been made online and its conducted in a period of 10 days.

Symbiosis Institute of management studies, Pune has its own test called SNAP. Its conducted in the month of December and there are HRD (Human Resource Development) programmes available here.
